Kinjal Textiles

Kinjal Textiles is located at No. 24 in the Shree Nivas Estate near Virat. The estate is a bit tucked away, so you have to look closely for the entrance. We have a workspace filled with machines and large tables for handling fabric. It’s a family business, so you will usually see a few of us working here at any given time. The floors are often covered with small bits of thread and cloth, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the work we do. The air always smells a bit like cotton. We don't have a showroom or a fancy lobby for visitors. People who want to see our textiles just come straight into the work area. We show them what we are making right there on the machines. It’s a loud environment when everything is running, so we sometimes have to shout to be heard. We drink a lot of tea to keep ourselves going throughout the day. We don't have a website or any social media pages. Our customers know us from years of working together and they just give us a call when they need something. It’s an old-fashioned way of running a business, but it works for us. We just focus on finishing our orders and keeping the machines in good shape. It gets dark in the estate at night, but we usually have a few lights on to finish up.
