J. K. Industries

Our shop, J. K. Industries, is at Shed No. 30 in the Desh Seva Industrial Estate. It’s right across from Jay Chemicals on Hindustan Marble Road in the Gidc area. It’s a bit tucked away, so people sometimes miss the turnoff if they aren't looking closely for the sign. The shed is packed with equipment and raw materials, leaving just enough room to walk through the narrow aisles. We do a lot of manual work here, and there is always something that needs fixing or adjusting on the fly. The road outside gets pretty muddy when it rains, and the trucks have a hard time backing into the loading bay without hitting the gate. We don’t have a fancy sign, just the name painted on the door in black. Most of our day is spent handling orders and making sure the dimensions are correct. It’s a lot of measuring and double-checking, which can be tedious but it has to be done properly. We share the estate with a few other businesses, so there is always someone coming or going at all hours. The atmosphere is just people trying to get their work finished so they can get home on time. We don’t put on any acts here; it’s just a regular industrial shop with people who know how to use their hands and don’t mind getting dirty during the shift.
