At L-575 in the Gidc Estate of Odhav, you can find our place, Bhavani Packeging Industries. We have been in this part of Ahmedabad for quite a while now. The work here revolves around packaging, so the floors are usually covered with cardboard, tape, and big rolls of plastic wrap. It can get a bit messy when a large order comes in, but everyone knows where the tools are. This estate is always busy, and our unit is just one of many along this long road. Most of the day is spent on our feet, moving from the cutting table to the packing section. Since the floors are concrete, they get pretty cold in the winter mornings, though the afternoon sun warms up the front of the shop nicely. A big marketing team isn't something we have. It’s just us answering the phone and making sure the boxes are the right size for our customers. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just sit outside on the steps and talk to the people next door until the lights come back. That is just part of living in an industrial area. There are a few old machines here that have been with us since we started, and they still work better than the newer ones we tried once. Getting the packaging done so other businesses can ship their goods is what we do. It’s simple work, but it’s what we know.
