Basic Dyes Industries

Basic Dyes Industries is located in the GIDC Industrial Estate in Odhav, Ahmedabad. Specifically, we are at L-566, near the Post Office Lane. If you know GIDC, you know it’s a massive place with lots of different units. We’ve been in this particular spot for a long time. The building is an industrial unit, so it’s not meant for looking pretty. It’s meant for making things. We deal with dyes, so there is always some color around, maybe on the floors or on our hands. It’s just part of the job. We have our vats and mixing areas set up, and it stays pretty busy most of the week. The office part of it is just a small room with a couple of desks and a lot of ledgers. We don't have a lot of visitors, mostly just delivery trucks and people we’ve been working with for ages. Ahmedabad gets very hot, so we try to get the heavy work done early if we can. We aren't a big corporation with lots of rules. We just know what needs to be done and we do it. There isn't any marketing talk here. We just produce what’s needed and send it out. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we are used to it. The Post Office Lane is a good reference point for people trying to find the gate. We’re just here every day, keeping the process going as best as we can.
