You can find us at Plot No. 6, right by the Gidc Godown. We are very close to the Fire Station, so you hear the sirens every once in a while. The building is an old godown itself, so it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on the Gidc. We have stacks of inventory everywhere. It might look like a mess to a stranger, but we know exactly where every single item is hidden. We spend a lot of our time loading and unloading crates. It is heavy work and our backs feel it by the end of the shift. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a front desk. Usually, whoever is closest to the door helps whoever walks in. We deal with a lot of different supplies and hardware. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the shelves or fix the lighting. Other days, it’s a constant stream of people needing things for their own projects. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and the neighborhood has changed around us. There used to be more open space, but now it’s all warehouses and shops. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily chores. It’s a simple operation and we prefer it that way. No one here is trying to be anything other than a local business keeping things moving for the neighborhood.
