You can find us at H/46 in the Industrial Estate, right opposite the Ghaswala Complex and near Chhotalals Chawl in Odhav. Being in an industrial area means there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving around outside. The air smells like metal and exhaust most of the time. Our building is a simple structure with big doors to let in the breeze and the deliveries. We deal with various industrial supplies and products that businesses around here need. It’s not a place where people come to browse for fun. It’s more of a place where people come with a list and a purpose. The office area is just a desk with a lot of paperwork and a phone that rings quite a bit. I spend a lot of time on the warehouse floor checking the inventory levels. The concrete floor has some cracks from moving heavy pallets around over the years. We keep a big calendar on the wall to track when things are supposed to arrive. It gets quite hot in the summer because of the metal roof, but we have a few large fans that keep the air moving. Most of the people who come in are workers from the nearby factories or delivery drivers. We know the local chai wallah really well because he comes by every couple of hours. It’s a hardworking part of town and we fit right in with the rest of the units around us.
