Our office is way up on the 8th floor of the Shivalik Satyamev building. If you know the Bopal Ring Road, you know how busy it gets around here with all the traffic and people going to work. Being on the 8th floor gives us a decent view of the road, though we mostly spend our time looking at spreadsheets and cargo lists. We handle a lot of agro products, so we are often talking to folks from out in the rural areas and then trying to figure out the best way to move their goods. It involves a lot of back-and-forth emails and phone calls that never seem to end. Sometimes the elevator in the building takes forever, which can be a bit of a pain when we are in a hurry to get documents sent off. We are just a small team trying to stay organized in the middle of all the Ahmedabad hustle. There isn't much to the story except that we show up every morning, drink some tea, and start sorting through the latest orders. Some days the paperwork goes smoothly and other days it feels like a mountain. We don’t have any big corporate speeches to give. We just know our way around the import-export rules and try to keep things moving by not making mistakes on the customs forms. It is just basic trading business done from a tall building in the Bopal area.
