Northwest Trading Co. operates out of the DDA Commercial Complex in Jhandewalan, specifically at unit 214 in Phase I. If you know the Jhandewalan area, you know it’s always moving. The complex itself is one of those classic DDA buildings with lots of different offices packed in together. Our spot isn't huge, but it's enough for the trading work we do. There are filing cabinets everywhere and the phones seem to ring at the most random times. We spend a lot of time tracking orders and talking to people on the other end of the line. The hallways outside are usually busy with people running errands or going to get lunch. There’s a particular smell to these old office buildings, a mix of old paper and tea. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the desks get covered in notes and documents. It’s a practical environment. We aren't here to impress anyone with a lobby or anything like that. We just show up, handle the trading business, and head home when the sun goes down. Jhandewalan has its own rhythm and we are just a small part of that. Sometimes the lift doesn't work right and we have to use the stairs, which is always a bit of a workout. It’s just the daily reality of working in this part of the city. We keep things simple and functional.
