Niraj Optical Machinery

Our workshop is down at 4, Keshav Industrial Estate. It’s right opposite the Vatva Railway Station, which is handy for people coming in from out of town. Being in G.I.D.C. Phase-Ii means we are surrounded by other industrial businesses and lots of noise throughout the day. Niraj Optical Machinery is where we spend most of our time. It’s a dusty area sometimes because of all the trucks moving around Vatva. Inside, we have our machines and tools laid out in a way that makes sense to us. We focus on optical machinery, so things can get a bit technical, but we talk about it in plain English with our customers. It’s not a quiet place. There is always some noise from the machines or the trains passing by the station nearby. We started small and just stayed here because it’s a good spot for an industrial unit. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to polish our image for the internet. We just fix and sell machinery. If someone has a problem with a lens grinder or some other piece of equipment, they bring it here to us. We take a look, see what can be done, and get to it. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon and talk about how the day is going. It’s a regular job for us and we take it seriously without needing to use big words or pretending we are something we aren't.
