We are located at number 41 in Somnath Nagar Society, right in the Naranpura area. It’s a residential-style neighborhood that’s seen a lot of small businesses move in over time. We focus on industrial valves. It’s heavy work and involves a lot of metal. Our space isn't like those big glass offices you see in the newer parts of town. It’s more of a workshop and office combined. You’ll hear the clinking of metal and the sound of tools most of the day. We’ve been here long enough that all the neighbors know us. We don't spend money on big ads or fancy signs. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve used our valves before. We deal with different types of valves, checking for leaks and making sure the pressure holds. It’s a lot of hands-on testing. The office can get a bit disorganized with blueprints and invoices, but we know where everything is. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we keep going. Our staff is small, just a few people who know their way around a lathe and a pressure gauge. We aren't trying to be a multinational giant. We just provide valves that do what they are supposed to do for as long as possible. It’s just a regular business day for us. We drink a lot of tea and stay focused on the task at hand. If a valve isn't perfect, it doesn't leave the shop. We aren't big on slogans or mission statements. We just work with metal and make sure the fittings are tight. The parking on the street is a bit tight, but we make it work. It’s just how things are at Nikon Valves in Naranpura.
