We spend most of our days here at Nessa Iiiumination Technologies Pvt Ltd, which is located at number 7 Devraj Estate on the Piplaz Pirana Road. It’s a busy spot near the IOC petrol pump where there is always a lot of dust and noise from the passing trucks. Most of the guys here have been working with these lights for years now. We start early when the air is still a bit cool before the sun gets too high over Ahmedabad. The workshop floor is always covered in parts and LED components because someone is always putting something together or testing a driver. It isn’t a fancy place with glass windows or air conditioning in the back, just a solid building where we get the job done. Sometimes the power flickers but we just keep going. We know the neighbors at the other units and sometimes share a tea when things get quiet in the afternoon. People find us easily because of the petrol pump landmark. Our work is mostly about making sure these lights actually turn on and stay on. It’s not complicated to explain, but it takes a lot of time to get it right. We use basic tools and a lot of patience. If you come by, you’ll probably see a few crates being loaded onto a tempo. That’s just how it goes here every day of the week. We don't have a big office staff, just a few of us handling the orders and the rest out on the floor.
