Neel Trading Co. is on the fifth floor of Narayan Chamber. If you know Ashram Road, you know how busy it gets with all the traffic and people moving around at all hours. We’ve been here at number 508 for a good while. Trading involves a lot of back-and-forth communication and checking on stocks. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just an office where we keep track of everything on our ledgers and computers. The view from the fifth floor is alright, though we mostly just look at the other buildings across the street. We handle various goods and materials, whatever the market is asking for at the time. It’s a lot of phone work and some computer stuff to keep the accounts straight. Sometimes the power goes out in the building and we just have to wait it out, which is just part of working in an older commercial complex. We keep things pretty simple here. There aren't any big meetings or corporate retreats. We just focus on getting the goods from point A to point B. Ashram Road is a central spot, which makes it easier for people to reach us, even if parking is a nightmare most days. We’ve grown used to the noise and the pace of the city life. We just do our job and try not to make things more complicated than they need to be. It’s a living.
