Surya International

You can find Surya International up on the third floor of University Plaza, right at Vijay Cross Road. It’s a busy building in the middle of Navrang Pura, so there is always a lot of noise coming from the street below. Ahmedabad is a fast city, and being at this intersection means we see a lot of it every day. Our office, room 305, is usually filled with stacks of papers and samples from different suppliers. It’s not a very large space, so we have to be organized, though sometimes the desks get a bit cluttered when we are busy. We spend a lot of time on the phone or responding to emails, trying to coordinate things between different people. The elevator in the plaza is a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. There are plenty of food stalls around here, so lunch is usually whatever we grab from the street. We’ve been in this office for a long time now. We know the other people in the building, like the travel agent next door and the lawyer downstairs. It feels like a little community. We don't have any fancy posters or a big logo on the wall. It’s just a place where we come to work, handle our business, and try to stay on top of all the details. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a small AC that does its best.
