S. R. Engineering

Our shop, S. R. Engineering, is up on the 4th floor of Simandhar Enclave, which is at A 1/14 on Janatha Nagar Road. Climbing the stairs or taking the lift, you get used to the routine pretty quick. Being on the 4th floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is usually quite busy. The office is full of drawings, tools, and pieces of equipment. It’s definitely a working engineering space, not a fancy lounge. We have a small team and everyone knows their role. We don't really have formal meetings; we just shout across the room when something needs discussing. Janatha Nagar Road is a good place for us because it’s accessible for our deliveries. We spend a lot of time on technical details that might bore most people, but it’s what we do. The lighting in here is a bit harsh, but it helps when you’re looking at small parts. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. If you call, you’ll likely talk to one of the guys actually doing the work. We’ve been in this enclave for a bit now and we’ve made the space our own. It’s a bit cluttered at times, but we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the engineering right and making sure the machines are running as they should be for everyone involved in our daily projects.
