Patidar Timber Mart

You can find us at Patidar Timber Mart, right on the Naroda-Dahegam Road. We are at Plot No. 2 in the Umiya Estate. If you are driving down, just look for the Hotel J K Garden across the way or the Shantam Party Plot which is quite close. Those landmarks make it easy for people to spot our turnoff. The yard is always full of the smell of cut wood and sawdust. We have big piles of timber stacked up high, and the saws are usually running for most of the morning. It is a dusty place and your clothes always end up covered in wood chips by the end of the shift. The traffic on the Naroda-Dahegam Road is always heavy, so there is a constant drone of trucks and cars passing by the estate. We have a simple office at the front of the plot where we sit and talk to the people who stop by for wood. It’s not a fancy place, just a working timber yard with some sheds to keep the more expensive wood dry. The sun is quite strong in Ahmedabad, so we try to do the heavy cutting under the shade of the roof. We spend our days measuring out logs and helping people pick the right pieces for their construction projects. It is a local business and we have been part of Umiya Estate for many years. We just keep things simple and do our work until the gate closes.
