Om Plast

You can find us at Plot No. 182/3, tucked away near the Premier Engineering Gali in Phase-1 of the Gidc. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in this lane, especially when the delivery vans are trying to turn around. We deal with plastics here, so there is always a particular smell of resin in the air. The machines run pretty much all day. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up a batch if there was a delay in the morning. It’s a small operation, mostly family and a few hired hands from the local area. We don't have a big sign out front, just the plot number and a small board. The space inside is mostly taken up by the raw materials and the molding equipment. We try to keep the floor swept, but plastic scraps always seem to find their way into the corners. It's just part of the job. Most of our neighbors are doing similar industrial work, so everyone knows each other. We drink a lot of tea while we talk about the day’s production. It’s not a complicated life. We just make sure the parts come out right and get sent to the people who ordered them. The Gali gets crowded around lunchtime, but it quietens down later on. We usually shut the main gate around seven unless there is a rush. It is just a routine we have established over time to keep things moving along.
