Natraj Ceramics Industries is situated over at Plot No. 296/A in Phase-1 of Gidc. If you know the area, we are right near Apex Oil Mill. You can usually tell when they are working because of the strong smell in the air. Our place is all about ceramics. There is a lot of dust involved in this work, so we are always wiping things down, though it feels like a losing battle most of the time. The Gidc area is always humming with activity. Trucks are constantly moving in and out of the big gates. We have a small crew here. Most of us have been around for many years. We start early while the air is still a bit cool before the afternoon sun hits. Dealing with ceramic materials takes a lot of patience because things can break if you’re moving too fast. We spend our days sorting, packing, and checking orders. It’s a practical space, nothing too special to look at from the outside. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on the work we do inside. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting outside if the weather is okay, just watching the traffic go by on the main road. Being near the oil mill makes it easy to give directions to people who get lost looking for our plot. It’s a steady life here, just doing what we know how to do day after day without much fuss.
