Mani Industries

We operate Mani Industries from Plot No. 1404 and 1404/1 over in Phase 4 of the GIDC. It’s a pretty standard industrial setup with a lot of heavy lifting and metalwork going on most of the time. The space is divided between the two plot numbers to give us enough room for the machinery and the storage of finished goods. It’s usually quite loud inside because of the tools we use, but we’re used to it by now. Phase 4 is a busy part of the estate, so there are always delivery trucks blocking the lanes or people moving equipment around. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team; we just have a bunch of guys who know how to run the machines. Our office is just a small corner partitioned off from the main floor so we can handle the billing and the phone calls. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and we just have to figure it out and get back to work. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s how we’ve always run the place. We just try to finish the orders on time and keep the shop floor as tidy as an industrial unit can be. There’s always something that needs fixing or a stack of material that needs moving. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and the business going year after year without much fuss. We usually wrap things up when the evening shift takes over.
