Maitri Foundation

Our place, Maitri Foundation, is at Plot No. B1/4 in Phase-2 of the GIDC. It is actually a combination of plots 217 and 218/2. It sounds a bit complicated when you look at the address on paper, but it is just one big space once you actually get here. We have been working out of this spot for a while now. Phase-2 is a bit quieter than some of the other sections of the estate, which we like. The building is just a standard industrial structure. There is nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it is mostly open space where we keep everything we need for the daily routine. We do not have air conditioning in the main area, so we rely on the big fans when it gets humid in the afternoons. The floors are a bit uneven in spots, but you learn where to step after a few days. We do not have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. It is just us doing the work. Some days are slow and we spend time cleaning up or fixing tools. Other days it is a bit of a rush to get things finished. We usually eat our lunch together at a small table in the corner. It is a simple life. We do not have big goals of changing the world; we just want to do our job right and go home.
