Kent Furniture

We've been running Kent Furniture out of Shrinath Estate for a good number of years now. If you know the Naroda Ring Road area in Ahmedabad, you’ve probably passed by us near the railway crossing. It’s a busy spot, always noisy with the trains and trucks, but it works for us. We mostly handle wooden items like chairs, tables, and storage cupboards. It’s not a fancy air-conditioned showroom with lights and mirrors. It’s more of a workshop where we keep stock and show people what we’ve finished lately. My brother and I started this because we knew how to handle tools. We don't spend money on big advertisements or flashy signs. Most people just walk in because they saw our name or heard about us from a neighbor. Sometimes the wood we get isn't perfect, so we have to spend extra time sanding it down or fixing the joints. It’s just the way things go when you’re working with your hands. We try to stay busy every day, even when the heat in Ahmedabad gets a bit much in the afternoons. We have a few guys who help with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. If someone needs a custom size for their kitchen or a specific kind of shelf, we try to get it done. We aren’t always the fastest, but we make sure the legs don't wobble. It is just a local business trying to do honest work. We are usually here from morning until late evening.
