Our company Gkr Crop Science is situated at Plot No. B-12 and B-18 in Phase-2 of the GIDC. Having two plots gives us a bit more room to move things around which is helpful. We deal with various products that help crops grow and stay healthy. The facility is mostly a mix of storage and some basic processing areas. It is a busy place with a lot of movement especially when we are getting ready for a big shipment. We have a few small rooms for the paperwork and some basic testing but the bulk of the space is for the inventory. The air usually has a bit of a chemical scent to it as you would expect in this line of work. We are not a huge multinational corporation with a glass office. We are just a local team trying to keep up with the demands of the farming cycles. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the GIDC traffic which can throw our whole schedule off for the day. We do not spend much time on fancy branding or anything like that. Most of our customers are regular distributors who have been buying from us for a long time. We focus on making sure the batches are consistent and that the bags are sealed properly before they leave the gate. It is a lot of manual work and long hours.
