Gayatri Timber Mart

You will find Gayatri Timber Mart over on Naroda Road, right near the Munsi and Sutariya compounds. We are sitting near National Highway 8, so there are always big trucks rolling by. Our yard is usually full of wood of all different sizes and types. It’s a dusty place, as you can imagine with all the sawing and moving of timber. We’ve been at this location for a good many years now. The smell of fresh cut wood is something we all like, even if it gets in our clothes. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and carpets. It’s mostly just stacks of lumber and a small shed where we keep the books. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and loading things up for people. It is physical work and it can be tiring when the sun is out, but we are used to it. We don't use any high-tech systems for our inventory. We mostly just know what we have by looking at the stacks. If a customer comes by, we walk out into the yard with them to find what they need. It’s a very direct way of doing things. Naroda is a busy place, and we are just one part of the many businesses trying to get things done every day. We just keep stacking the wood and helping the people who come by looking for good timber for their projects.
