Our small place, Eta Organics, is tucked away at Plot No. L/331/7 in Phase-1 of the GIDC. We’re right behind the Lions School, so we often hear the kids playing during their breaks. It’s a bit of a different vibe compared to the heavier industrial areas. We try to keep things fairly clean here, given that we deal with organic materials. It’s not a sterile lab, though. It’s a working shed with bags of ingredients and containers stacked up. We spend a lot of time checking batches and making sure things are stored correctly so they don't spoil in the heat. The space is a bit tight, especially when a new shipment comes in and we have to find a spot for everything. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine. Most of our neighbors are also small shops, so we help each other out when a machine breaks or someone needs a hand moving a heavy pallet. We aren't big on advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they saw our sign near the school. It’s quiet work for the most part, grinding or mixing things as needed. We usually close up early on Saturdays to get some rest. It’s a decent way to spend the day, working with natural stuff in a busy industrial zone. We always make sure the gate is locked tight before we head out.
