Down at Plot No. 413/2 in Phase 4 of Gidc, you’ll find Apex Alloy Steel Pvt. Ltd. It’s a heavy industrial area, so there’s always something going on. We deal with alloy steel, which means a lot of heavy lifting and heat. The workshop floor is usually covered in metal shavings and the smell of oil. It’s not the kind of place you’d wear nice clothes to. We have a small team here, and most of us have been working with steel for years. We spend our days running the furnaces and making sure the pours are right. Sometimes things go wrong with the machines, and we have to spend half a day fixing a motor or a belt.
