Ankita Industries

Ankita Industries is a small place sitting on Plot 13/b in Phase 1 of the GIDC. Phase 1 is one of the older parts of the estate, so the roads are a bit narrow and the buildings have that worn-in look. We like it that way. Our shop is mostly about manufacturing and we have several lathes and milling machines that stay busy. It is a tight fit inside with all the raw material stacked up against the walls. We have to be careful where we walk so we don't trip over a crate or a pile of scrap metal. The guys who work here are mostly locals from the nearby villages. We start the day with a small prayer and then the motors start humming. It is a rhythm we are all used to. There is a small tap in the corner where we wash up before heading home. Our address is easy to find once you get into the first phase of the GIDC. We don't have a website or a marketing person. Most people hear about us from other business owners in the area. If someone needs a part made or some metal cut, they just drop by the gate. We have a small wooden table where we sit and talk about the work over a cup of tea. It is a simple life and we just try to do right by the people we work for.
