Anant Industries

Down here at Plot No. D-19/a in Diamond Park, Phase-3 of the Gidc, things stay pretty busy for us. Anant Industries is a place where we put in a lot of hard hours. The workshop is usually filled with the sound of grinding and cutting. It’s a smell you get used to after a while, that mix of warm metal and industrial oil. We aren't much for sitting behind desks. Most of us are on our feet all day moving between the different stations. The floor is made of concrete and it’s seen better days, with plenty of cracks and stains from over the years. We have a few windows high up that let in some light, but it’s mostly artificial lighting in here. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors. If you come by, you’ll just walk straight into where the work is happening. It’s a very direct way of doing things. We don't have any polished mission statements or fancy brochures to hand out. We just show people what we are making and let that speak for itself. Some days the machines are stubborn and we have to spend hours getting them back in line. It’s part of the job. We enjoy the challenge of fixing things and making sure everything leaves the shop in good condition. It’s an honest life and we are happy with our spot here.
