Narayan Ayurvedic Clinic

You can find us at number 33 in Yanda Socijivraj Park. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood, so it’s not as noisy as the clinics on the main roads. We have a small front room where we meet with people who come in. The shelves are mostly filled with different kinds of oils, powders, and herbs that we use. It’s a simple setup with a wooden desk and a few plastic chairs for people to sit on. We don't have a lot of modern electronics around. Most of our records are kept in big ledger books that we fill out by hand. The air usually smells like dried plants and spices, which is a lot better than the chemical smell you get in some hospitals. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighbors are all very friendly. Sometimes people just pop their heads in to say hello while they’re out for a walk. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements in the papers. People just hear about us from their friends and family. The clinic stays fairly cool because of the way the building is shaded, so we don't need much more than a small fan. It’s a peaceful place to work. We just focus on helping people with their health using the old ways we were taught by our elders. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be here in the community every day.
