Shril International India

Our office is at 23, Suryoday, which is right near Sardar Patel Colony in the Naranpura area of Ahmedabad. It’s a decent neighborhood, a mix of homes and small businesses, so it feels quite grounded. Shril International India is where we handle a lot of logistics and trade stuff. Most of our day involves being on the phone or sitting at a computer tracking shipments. It’s not the most exciting work to look at, but there’s always something happening. The office is usually stacked with files and samples of things we’re moving around. We don’t have a big corporate feel here. It’s more like a group of people sitting around desks trying to make sure everything gets to where it’s going on time. Sometimes the internet goes down or the courier is late, and we have to scramble. That’s just the nature of international trade. We’ve been in Naranpura for a while and we like the local feel of the place. You can step out for a tea and see the same faces every day. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have calendars with dates circled and a list of things that need to be cleared by the end of the week. It’s a busy, practical life, and we just keep at it day after day.
