Nanubhai J Desai & Co is tucked away on the second floor of the Ellisbridge Shopping Centre. We occupy units 23 through 25, which gives us just enough room to get our daily work done without tripping over each other. Being right behind the Bank of India makes it pretty easy for people to find us once they get into the Ellis Bridge area. This part of Ahmedabad is always moving, but inside the office, it's usually just the sound of typing and papers moving around. We have been here for a good while now. The building is older, and you can tell by the way the stairs feel, but it serves us well. We don't really go for anything flashy. Our desks are usually piled with files, and the chairs have seen better days, but that is just how a working office looks. Sometimes the traffic outside can get loud, especially during rush hour, but we just close the windows and carry on. It is a simple setup for a group of people who just want to do their jobs and go home to their families at the end of the day. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby or expensive art on the walls. It is just a practical space where the lights stay on late some nights and the tea comes around at four. That is pretty much who we are, just a regular firm in a busy city.
