We set up our spot right opposite Ujjaval Bunglows, which makes it easy for people to find us. At Balatripur Sundari Developers, we aren't big on formalities. The bungalows across the way are quiet, which is a nice contrast to the banging and clanging we do on our side. Every morning starts with the same routine of unlocking the gate and making sure the tools are where we left them. We deal with all sorts of people, from suppliers who are always in a rush to neighbors just curious about what we’re building. Our desks are messy and there's usually a layer of grit on everything, but that’s what happens when you work in development. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to polish up how we sound. We just tell it like it is. If a wall is crooked, we tear it down and start over. If the cement hasn't arrived, we find something else to do. It’s a lot of coordination and a fair amount of frustration, but that's just the nature of the business. We keep at it because it’s what we know. The sun hits the front of the office pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually move the chairs to the shade and keep working from there until it's time to lock up.
