Mundra International Container Terminal

Out here at the Mundra International Container Terminal, things are pretty massive. We are based on New Navinal Island, right in the middle of all that coastal wind. It is a huge operation, but at the end of the day, it's just about moving big metal boxes. If you have ever been to the Mundra International Container Terminal(Mict), you know how it looks. Cranes are everywhere. We spend our days watching ships come in and go out. It is a lot of logistics, sure, but mostly it is just hard work under the sun. The island has its own rhythm. It isn't like working in a city office. It’s gritty. We deal with the heat and the salt air every day. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just handle the containers that pass through Mundra. Sometimes the weather gets rough, and everything slows down, but we just wait it out and start again. There is no point overcomplicating things. You bring a ship, we move the cargo. That is the long and short of it. The New Navinal Island location is isolated, which makes it feel like its own little world. We focus on what’s in front of us. It is just a regular day-to-day grind for the crew here. There are thousands of containers and we just keep them moving one by one.
