Mumbaai Chemicals

Our place, Mumbaai Chemicals, is at No. 32 in Keshar Nagar, Ranip. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood, though we are tucked away a bit. The building is a simple one-story structure where we keep our supplies and do our mixing. I’ve lived in Ranip for most of my life, so setting up the business here felt like the right thing to do. We don’t have a big fancy sign out front, just a small board so people know they’ve found the right spot. Inside, it smells like various cleaning agents and raw materials, which I’ve grown used to over the years. We mostly sell to local shops and small cleaning services who need reliable supplies. It’s just me and a couple of helpers who have been with me since the start. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. Sometimes the delivery van breaks down, and I have to spend the afternoon at the mechanic instead of filling bottles. It’s not a glamorous job, but it pays the bills and we know our customers by name. We try to keep the place organized, but with so many drums and containers, it’s a constant battle. We just keep at it every day and try to get things done right. It is a long walk to the main road from here.
