Mongie & Co.

Working out of Industrial Area Phase-2 has its ups and downs. Mongie & Co. is right at 25/8, and it gets pretty dusty around here with all the trucks moving back and forth. We’ve been in this unit for years. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we put a bucket under it and keep going. We mostly handle small batch orders. It’s not a huge factory, just a decent space where we keep the machines and the raw materials. Usually, the morning starts with a lot of noise from the neighbors, and we just jump right into the work. We don't have a receptionist or anyone like that, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. Some days are busier than others. We don't really do much advertising because most people just hear about us from other shops in the area. It’s a simple setup. We keep the inventory in the back and the tools in the front. Sometimes the tea guy comes around 11, which is the highlight of the morning. We just focus on getting the jobs finished. It's hard work, and the grease gets on everything, but that's how it is in Phase-2. We aren't trying to be the biggest company, just trying to keep the lights on and the customers coming back when they need something made. We often stay late on Fridays to finish up and clear out the workspace for the next week.
