If you are walking down Gandhi Road, you’ll find us in Vivek Chambers. We are on the 1st floor, right by Mamunaiks Pole. Mohta Electric & Engineering Co. has been a part of this neighborhood for quite some time. The stairs leading up to the office are a bit narrow and old, but they get you there. Inside, the place is full of the smell of electrical components and old paper. It is a working office, so don't expect it to look like a showroom. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, packed with all sorts of things we’ve collected over the years. My desk is usually covered in diagrams and scribbled notes. It looks messy to an outsider, but I know exactly where everything is. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to tell us how to talk to people. We just speak plainly and tell it like it is. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk about the news, while other days are so busy we barely have time to eat lunch. The area around Mamunaiks Pole is always full of life, and that energy keeps us going. We’ve seen many shops come and go on Gandhi Road, but we’ve stayed right here. It’s not about being the biggest or the most famous; it’s just about being reliable and being here when people need something fixed or supplied.
