Modern Electric Co. is right on Gill Road. If you know where the P & S Bank is, we are just across from it, near the Moongphali Mandi. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of traffic and people moving about. We’ve been here a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it serves us well. We deal with electrical parts and repairs mostly. The shop is usually cluttered with wires, motors, and boxes that just arrived. We don't have a big showroom with lights and stuff. It’s more of a place where you come when you need a specific part for a machine or a motor fixed. Sometimes people stop by just to ask for directions because of the bank across the street. We don’t mind. Our desk is old and the fan makes a bit of noise, but we like it here. Working on Gill Road means we see everything that happens in the market. It gets loud when the Mandi is in full swing. We just keep the door open to get a breeze. My father used to say that as long as the lights are on and the tools are sharp, we’re doing okay. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here because we’ve been here for so long. It’s a local spot for local needs, nothing complicated about it.
