Our place is over at 10 Balleshwar Residency, specifically in the T-20 section in Santinagar. Usmanpura is a busy part of Ahmedabad, and we are right in the middle of it. The office here is where we handle the cargo services. It’s a lot of manual work, checking lists and making sure the trucks are on the right route through Gujarat. The 380 013 area has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed here in this building. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when people are trying to find the right unit. We have a lot of tea breaks to deal with the heat, especially during the summer months. The desks are covered in notebooks and printouts because we still like to have things on paper. It isn't a high-tech setup with glowing lights; it is just a bunch of people trying to keep track of heavy goods moving across the country. We know the local drivers and the guys who work the warehouses nearby. It’s a simple operation really. We don’t go in for big meetings or long speeches. We just look at what needs to be moved today and figure out the best way to do it. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed until a shipment is running late, then things get a bit more serious until it is sorted out. We just try to do an honest day's work and make sure nothing gets left behind at the warehouse.
