Mehta Corporation

Mehta Corporation is over here at No. 105 Ashwamegh Avenue. We are really close to the Mithakhali Under Bridge, which is a landmark everyone in the city knows. If you’ve ever been stuck in traffic there, you’ve probably passed by our building without thinking much of it. Our office is a straightforward place. We’ve got some chairs for visitors and a lot of files piled up on the side. It gets pretty loud during rush hour because of the cars and bikes going under the bridge. Sometimes we have to close the windows just to hear each other talk. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, so we know all the local tea stalls and where to get a quick lunch. The building itself is an older one, but it works for what we do. We don’t do much in the way of decorating; it’s mostly just functional. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working on the computer. It’s not an exciting life, but it’s steady. We don't try to be anything we aren't. People come in, we talk about what they need, and we see if we can help. It’s just how we’ve always operated here in Mithakhali. We usually lock up around six and head home before the bridge traffic gets even worse. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we’re used to it.
