Our shop is Number S/F 218 in the Devashish Arcade. We are located near the Manglam Arcade in Ahmedabad City. It is a very busy commercial building with a lot of different shops selling everything from clothes to electronics. We are Melfa Trading Impex Private Limited. Being in an arcade means there is always a crowd of people in the hallways. Our shop is on the second floor, which is what the S/F usually stands for around here. It is not a very big space, but we have managed to fit in our workstations and some storage for the items we trade. Ahmedabad is a fast-paced city and we try to keep up with that. We are usually in the office by ten and we don't leave until quite late. The arcade can get very hot in the afternoons, so we have the air conditioning running as much as we can. We do not do any fancy advertising. Most of our work comes from people who already know where we are or through word of mouth. It is a practical setup for a trading business. We handle a lot of different types of goods, so there are always new people coming in to talk about potential deals. The parking around Devashish Arcade can be a real headache, so most of us just take the bus or ride a scooter to get to work.
