We've been over here at Samanvay Flat for a while now. Most people know the spot near the Chandrapuri building, just behind the Vastrapur government colony. It's a busy part of Ahmedabad, especially with the Drive In Road crowd always moving. We handle woven goods at Mayur Wovens Pvt Ktd. It’s mostly regular work, dealing with the day-to-day of the textile trade. The office isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we keep things organized. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking samples. Dealing with fabrics in this city is just what people do here. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the traffic on Gurukul road, but we manage fine. Most of us have lived in Ahmedabad all our lives. We know how the local market moves. We try to keep the paperwork simple. At times the monsoon makes the road outside a bit of a mess, but that’s just life in this part of town. We’ve stayed in this location because it’s central for us. We don't have any big slogans. We just come in, do the work, and go home.
