Maruti International

Maruti International is situated right on Nh-8, which is the main highway. We are at the Rabari Colony Char Rasta in the Amraiwadi area. Because we are right at a major four-way junction, the shop gets a lot of wind and dust from the passing traffic. It is a very lively spot with people constantly stopping their cars and bikes near the colony entrance. Our shop isn't very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We keep a lot of our inventory stacked up high against the back wall. Life on the highway is fast, so we try to be quick when someone stops by with a problem. Most of the people who drop in are just passing through and need something small to keep their journey going. We don't have a fancy waiting area or air conditioning, just a few stools and a ceiling fan that works most of the time. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually pull down the green shade to keep it cool. We have been here at this crossroad for quite some time now and we’ve seen the area change a lot as the highway got bigger. It’s a simple business and we just take each day as it comes, dealing with whoever pulls up at the Char Rasta.
