Marketing Manager - Transport

This office is in Gandhinagar, over in Pethapur. Being right near the GEB colony means we see a lot of the same faces walking by every single day. The office in Kirtiraj Society at C-11 is pretty simple. It is basically a house that we use for work most of the time. Since we deal with transport, there is always someone complaining about a truck being late or a driver getting lost on the highway. It is a lot of coordination on the phone and shouting across the room. My desk is usually covered in notebooks because I forget things if I do not write them down immediately. Pethapur is a bit quieter than the main city, which is actually quite nice. We get some shade from the trees outside the society gate. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to step outside for some air while we wait. It is not some big high-rise office with glass walls. It is just a room with a few plastic chairs and a printer that jams way too often. We have been here for a bit now. People from the colony stop by sometimes just to say hello or ask about a delivery. It is a small operation, really. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and checking schedules on old computers. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon for everyone. We just try to keep the trucks moving and make sure the paperwork is sorted before the day ends.
