Manav Sadhna

We are based at the Gandhi Ashram on Ashram Road. It is a very quiet place compared to the rest of the noisy city. Manav Sadhna has been here for a long time. The big trees give some nice shade when it gets really hot outside in the summer. We do not have a corporate style office with glass walls. It is more of a community space where people feel welcome. People come and go all day long. We do a lot of different things here, mostly focusing on helping the people in the nearby areas. The work is simple but it keeps all of us very busy. We sit in rooms that have been around for many decades. You can hear the birds and the sound of the wind through the leaves. It is a very grounding place to work every day. We do not use fancy computers or have a front desk with a formal receptionist. We just have simple tables and chairs and a lot of care for what we do. Our address is easy to find because everyone in the city knows where the Ashram is. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people around, it is a living, breathing space. Sometimes we sit outside under the trees to talk about our projects. It feels right to be in such a historic spot. We have been part of this landscape for years and hope to stay.
