Manav Maternity Hospital

You will find our maternity hospital on the first floor of Newyork Darshan, shop number nine. We are right across from Inductotherm in the Bopal area. Since it’s a maternity place, the atmosphere is a little different than a regular hospital. There is usually the sound of a baby crying somewhere in the back or family members sitting around with boxes of sweets. The space isn't huge, so we have to stay very organized with the beds and the equipment. We have a small waiting area that gets quite full when whole families show up at once. The first floor is nice because it’s a bit away from the direct noise of the street, though you can still hear the traffic from the main Bopal road. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything is ready for the next arrival. It’s a lot of laundry and a lot of record-keeping. The nurses are usually running around with blankets or clipboards. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations, just some plain curtains and the necessary medical stuff. It feels more like a small community here than a big institution. People come in nervous and usually leave looking pretty tired but relieved. We just go through our daily tasks, checking vitals and making sure the mothers are comfortable. It’s a busy life in this shop unit, but we’ve made it work for a long time now.
