Our office is on the second floor of the Krishna Complex, which is at No. 201. This is right on Gandhi Road, specifically in the Kanji Diwan No Khancho lane. Being on the second floor means we are a little bit away from the direct noise of Gandhi Road, but you can still hear the city moving below us. Indomech Electrical Equipment Corporation is where we spend our hours dealing with various types of gear and machinery. The complex is an older building with stairs that have seen better days. Inside, we have our equipment laid out and a couple of desks for the paperwork. It is a functional space rather than a pretty one. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking over technical drawings and manuals. The lane outside is usually packed with scooters and people moving goods back and forth. It can be a bit of a climb up to the second floor, especially if we are carrying something heavy. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, but mostly we are focused on the tasks inside. It is a steady routine of checking orders and making sure the equipment is ready for whoever needs it. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a local spot where the work gets done correctly and on time. Usually, we end the day by double-checking the lists for tomorrow. It is not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid, and that is what matters to us. We just keep at it.
