Shree Siddheshwari Iron Works

We are located on the State Highway in Maktupur, right near the Rose Garden Hotel. It is a good spot because everyone passing on the Unjha Highway can see us. Shree Siddheshwari Iron Works is a place where we get our hands dirty every single day. We work with heavy iron rods and sheets. The sound of hammers hitting metal is what you hear most of the time. It is a very physical job. We have a big open area where we do the welding and cutting. The sparks fly around, so we have to wear old, thick clothes. We don't have a showroom or a website. You just see our work leaning against the walls outside. We make gates, window grills, and sometimes parts for farm machines. The heat from the sun combined with the heat from the welding makes it very sweat-inducing work. We drink lots of water and sit in the shade of the roof whenever we can. The trucks rumbling by on the highway keep us company. We don't have any big bosses or fancy offices. It is just a few of us who know how to shape iron. We take pride in making things that are strong and last a long time. People from the nearby villages come to us because they know we do honest work. It is a simple life and it keeps us busy.
