Mahesh Printing Press

If you go to the Rajavir Bus Stand in Kubernagar, you’ll see our shop right across from Vasanshah Darbar. It’s a very busy spot with people coming and going from the buses all day long. Mahesh is the one who started this press, and he is still here every single morning opening up the shutters. We do all kinds of local printing jobs. It’s a small shop and we have to stack the finished boxes right up to the ceiling sometimes. The machines we use are quite old and they make a steady rhythm that you can hear from the street. We don’t have a website or do any advertising. Most people just see the sign when they are waiting for their bus. We’ve printed everything from wedding invites to local shop flyers over the years. It’s a simple business. We get the paper, we set the ink, and we run the machines. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the door open to catch the breeze. We aren't a fancy company. We are just a local press helping the people in Kubernagar get their stuff printed. We know the names of almost everyone who walks through the door. It’s been that way for a long time and we like it that way. We just do our work and go home when the sun goes down.
