Rushik Textiles

We are tucked away behind Krishna Complex in the Hathipura area. It's not the easiest place to find if you aren't local. Rushik Textiles has been operating out of this spot for a few years now. The area near Old Madhupura Chowk is always full of traffic. We deal with various fabrics and materials. Our shop isn't fancy. It has plain walls and a lot of metal racks. We spend most of our time moving boxes around. The weather gets really humid here and that makes moving heavy cloth rolls a bit of a chore. We usually have a few guys helping with the heavy lifting. My uncle ran this place before me because he knew the market well. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure our regular customers get what they need. Sometimes the tea from the stall across the street is the best part of the day. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It feels like a small community even though the city is huge. Outside Dariapur Gate, the roads are narrow and sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck. You have to be patient if you work here. We don't use much technology besides a basic phone. Most of our business is done with a handshake and a talk. It's a simple way to work but it suits us fine. The old building has its charms.
