We operate out of room 301 in Kalyan Chamber, which is in the Khadia area. If you know Khadia, you know it’s full of history and very narrow streets. It’s a traditional part of the city, and we like being here. At Kunthunath Exim, our work revolves around trading and moving goods. There’s always a lot of talk about shipping schedules and customs documents. The office is often full of samples and boxes that we’re checking before they go out. It’s a bit of a tight space, but we make it work. We’ve been doing this for a while, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit. My desk is usually a mess of sticky notes and tea coasters. We don't use a lot of fancy software or have a big marketing department. It’s mostly just us using our phones and computers to keep the shipments moving. The building itself, Kalyan Chamber, has a lot of character and other small businesses like ours. Sometimes the stairs are a bit of a climb, but it keeps us moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest export house in the world. We just want to do right by our clients and make sure the goods get where they are going. It’s a practical, hands-on business. Every day is different depending on what’s being shipped. We just take it as it comes and stay until the work is finished. It’s a long day sometimes, but that’s the trade business for you.
