We operate out of Plot No 604 in Phase 4 of the Vatva GIDC. If you know the industrial area, you know it’s a lot of trucks and heavy machinery. Bhanwarlal started this printing business a long time ago, and we’ve been here ever since. It’s a big space but it’s filled with paper stocks and ink cans. The machines are old but they still pull their weight for the printing jobs we get. It’s usually pretty loud in here when the presses are running, so you have to shout a bit to be heard. We handle a lot of work for the other factories nearby. It isn't a clean job; we usually go home with ink under our fingernails and on our clothes. There’s no air conditioning, just some big fans that move the air around. We don't spend much time on the phone or on the internet. Most people just stop by the plot when they need something done. We don't have any marketing people or a sales team. We just do the printing. Sometimes the rain makes the roads in GIDC a bit of a mess, but we still show up. It’s a family-run place and we take things one day at a time. We’ve been in Vatva for so long that the neighbors are all like friends to us now. It is a simple life and the work is steady enough for us.
