Our office is in the Rudra Complex, specifically units 006 and 007, right across from the Central Bank in Ambavadi. It is a ground-floor space, which makes it easy for people to just walk in when they need something printed or designed. There are always stacks of flyers, vinyl banners, and old newspapers lying on the tables. We have a couple of computers where the guys work on layouts, and the hum of the printers is almost constant. Ambavadi is a lively part of Ahmedabad, so there’s always noise from the traffic outside. We don’t have a big corporate structure here. It’s just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. Some days are really hectic when someone needs an ad ready by the next morning, and we end up staying late and drinking way too much tea from the stall next door. The walls are covered with some of our old projects, and the floor usually has some scraps of paper or tape stuck to it. We talk to our clients like regular people, no fancy jargon or long meetings. They tell us what they want, we tell them if we can do it, and we get to work. It’s a bit messy and fast-paced, but it’s how we’ve always run things in this complex and it seems to work out for everyone involved.
